Love this… although knowing my luck I’ll get nabbed.
Police and PennDOT officials said there will be numerous additional speed enforcement checkpoints throughout the year as part of what they call Operation Yellow Jacket.
In it, troopers disguised as PennDOT workers use radar guns to enforce speed limits.
The checkpoint on I-79 was expected to be in place for much of the afternoon.
Before it was set up, PennDOT held a news conference along the highway to urge drivers to obey work zone speed limits. There have been two fatal crashes on I-79 near the construction area in Marshall and 22 people died in Pennsylvania last year in work zone crashes.
