Romney’s Plan to Win the Base: Empty Platitudes

Share With Friends

Mitt Romney is finally giving conservative voters the empty sloganeering that they crave:

Romney campaigned in Lancaster County last night, where he tried to win over still skeptical conservatives by telling them that If I’m president I’ll commit to this: We will remain one nation under God,”

While it was not entirely clear to whose God/gods Romney was referring, the crowd ate it up, our Washington colleague Colby Itkowitz reports.

What does that even mean??
