What Policy Concessions Should Dems Extract From Corbett in Exchange for Bill Ward’s Confirmation?

Ok Dems, what do we want?

Corbett probably doesn’t want this bad enough to spike the No Tax Pledge, but maybe he wants an excuse to wriggle out of it?

What else? A higher upper limit on the budget negotiations? Restoration of some of last year’s school funding cuts?

Might be getting too greedy. What’s a good trade?

    That’s a good start, Jon.

I’d like to see us ask for an extraction tax on the shale drillers along with bolstering DEP’s shale regulators and investigators and disallowing the DEP secretary to interfere with investigations or bypass/ignore regulations.

And an agreement, preferably in writing, with Ward that he will serve only until a replacement is elected. This is the same thing the GOP insisted on when Rendell had to fill judicial vacancies.

Restore every penny of cuts to education and social welfare programs. He wants to act like he’s mobbed up, we should treat him that way!
