Blame Charles Plosser For High Unemployment

Philly Fed President Charles Plosser sees the same weakening economic conditions we do, but he’s still not going to vote for more monetary stimulus. This is the core reason people don’t have jobs.

The Fed isn’t doing it’s job, and the reason it’s not doing its job is that regional Bank Presidents like Charles Plosser would rather have 8% unemployment than Reagan recovery levels of inflation in the 3-4% range.

The Philly Fed needs a President who cares about full employment.

One Response to Blame Charles Plosser For High Unemployment

I can’t agree with this enough. I even go so far to say some small devaluation of the dollar is needed. China, South Korea and other currency manipulators would be put on the spot to float their currency on open markets freely, or face stagflation.
