Hooray for Linda Small! It’s great to finally see a Democratic candidate take up this issue. PA spends $2.9 billion annually on fossil fuel subsidies.
Politicians and operatives who say the state can’t afford to pay for education or the Medicaid expansion are either liars or too craven to do the right thing. What they are really saying is that fossil fuel subsidies are a more important spending priority than education or Medicaid.
