If You’re Not Changing Your Policy Positions, You’re Not Changing

The thing to keep your eye on as the Republican rebranding efforts start to roll out is whether anybody’s legitimately moving away from the Randian “makers vs. takers” view of politics that lost the GOP the election,  or if people are just grasping for a kinder, gentler way of telling brown people that they’re deadbeats.

So far, it’s all the latter, with the exception of Lindsey Graham who has zero credibility with the people who matter in Republican primaries. Until the positions change, Republican candidates will continue to be vulnerable to accurate attacks on the same positions that voters rejected in 2012.
