What Peter King Said

This goes for Pennsylvania too:

“I’m saying right now, anyone from New York or New Jersey who contributes one penny to congressional Republicans is out of their minds. Because what they did last night was put a knife in the back of New Yorkers and New Jerseyans. It was an absolute disgrace.”

Forcing states to pay for Hurricane Sandy relief out of current taxes instead of having the federal government borrow that money at extremely low rates is insane. There is nothing fiscally conservative about it. These people are sociopaths.

One Response to What Peter King Said

  1. Karel Minor says:

Is Peter King just figuring out that Southern Republicans consider North East Republicans to be slightly better than a Democrat? Southerners literally talk about “the Yankee problem”, it will only take you a few minutes to find southyern talk radio ranting about yankees, and while the brain memory of the old party flippers post desegregation may be gone, the muscle memory against the yankee Rockefeller Republicans who weren’t for segregation is still twitching. One major accomplishment of electing BO (and, hell, even nominating Romney) was that the Southern political deathclutch on Presidential nominees ended. King and Cristy need to remind themselves they have more in common with a Yankee Dem than we have with many Southern Dems. I was Virginia born and raised but, man, have I come to appreciate an entire region with a higher standard of living, education, and average IQ. ‘Course, my grandpappy came from Scranton.
