With the announcement that New Jersey will expand Medicaid under the Affordable Care Act, Chris Christie has turned PA into an island of stupid. The Republican and Democratic Governors of every state* surrounding Pennsylvania have now opted to expand Medicaid and accept boatloads of federal money, recognizing that their residents are already paying for it as federal taxpayers.
* Ok, Tomblin’s still holding out, but come on: he’s a Democrat and West Virginia’s poor as hell.
