Marc Levy has the very juicy news:
Gov. Tom Corbett says he and U.S. Health and Human Services Secretary Kathleen Sebelius will meet to discuss issues surrounding a potential expansion of Medicaid in Pennsylvania.
Corbett said Wednesday, however, that he’s still concerned about the cost of an expansion of taxpayer-paid health care coverage for hundreds of thousands of low-income Pennsylvanians.
He also says he’s not persuaded that he should follow fellow Republicans like New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie and Florida Gov. Rick Scott who are supporting an expansion.
Ok, so what are the odds that he comes out of this meeting “persuaded” that PA should not be an island of stupid surrounded by sensible Medicaid-expanding states? How nominal a concession will Kathleen Sebelius have to make to get Corbett to reverse his position?
