MSNBC Needs to Dump Joe Scarborough

As the intellectual case for immediate deficit reduction disintegrates before our very eyes, Joe Scarborough has decided to become more and more strident on this point. In fact, Scarborough’s recent schtick seems to be picking fights with quants who know better than him on a range of issues, and then appealing to Beltway groupthink to claim “victory”. There are smart conservatives you could hire to co-host a morning show on a liberal cable news network. Scarborough isn’t one of them.

  1. Why does anyone care about JoeScar? Does anyone else even watch him besides other Beltway hacks and the crew at MediaMatters(because it’s their job)? Isn’t a better question why a supposed Democrat(David Cohen) decides to back criminal Corbett, now?

I’d like to minimize how much stupidity people who watching cable news (staffers, Beltway activists) are taking in. It’ll never be great, but it could be better!

  2. Disagree…Joe S. more moderate than T-Partiers; offers real conservative viewpoint. This Conserv. Dem thinks we need a strong, PLURAL political discourse-then We choose happy medium/laws!

I also think we need to hear from smart reality-based conservatives. That does not include Joe Scarborough. There is no economic evidence to support the view that Scarborough is pushing with this “debt denier” foolishness. None of the smart conservatives I read – Josh Barro, David Frum, Bruce Bartlett – agree that the debt is an immediate problem. Even Alan Blinder, the economist Joe Scarborough cited to support his argument, disagrees with him. JoeScar is the kind of idiot liar conservative who belongs on Fox News. We cannot learn anything useful from listening to his opinions.

Im surprised Scarborough has the time to talk about anything besides his three worthless terms in the House. He loves talking about himself. The guy talks out both sides of his mouth and most of it is empty rhetoric. The entire show is worthless including that twit Mika Brzezinski with her sleeveless dresses in the middle of winter and the walking candy apple Willie Geist and that huge melon he sports. Makes me yearn for the good ole days and mornings with Don Imus and his racial blasts. I dont know whats worse.

  4. I enjoy Morning Joe every morning. However to improve the show it be extremely helpful if you put a collar on Joe Scarboro and jerk it after he opens his mouth longer than 2 minutes. Then keep him quiet for at least 5 minutes so that others on his program can get a thought in the conversation. He has the distiction of being the rudest moderater on sensible cable (msnbc) that I have expierenced. He is a one trick pony and boring.
