“I suspect [Scott] was getting some help from the outside,” Kronenberg said. “If he did it [for political reasons], then yes, I’m disappointed.”
Scott had little to say in response, but seemed bewildered by the accusation.
He said he does not wear a hearing aid, and was not wearing an earpiece. Period.
Kronenberg was close enough to see that he had nothing in his ear during the debate, Scott said. And he said he wrote notes during the debate, so he could articulate his thoughts when it was his turn to speak.
“I have no idea why [Kronenberg] is doing this, and I frankly don’t care,” Scott said. “I’m not going to say anything else. I don’t understand.”
