#PAGov: Punk Rock Braddock Mayor John Fetterman Fundraising for Allyson Schwartz

Have to wonder if I am being micro-targeted with this fundraising email. I love post-industrial turnaround stories and hardcore punk, but can’t imagine that most PA voters share the same Fetterman love:

Jon –

As mayor of Braddock, I know what it’s like to go through tough times. Yet I always maintain the belief that things can get better.

Like me, Allyson believes in the power of hard work to make positive change. I know she’ll do an amazing job as our state’s leader. But, she needs us right now more than ever before.

She is facing her toughest fundraising filing deadline on the 31st and she has to lay her cards on the table and report out how much money she has in the bank for the campaign.

Rushing an urgent gift before the deadline not only helps show her strength — it unlocks the matching campaign by EMILY’s List – matching all gifts dollar for dollar.

You might know me from my appearances on “The Colbert Report” or the movie “Out of the Furnace” with Christian Bale. All that positive publicity has helped us turn things around in Braddock. It’s the same for Allyson. If she can make a big splash in the media with this end-of-year filing deadline and show people she’s got the cash to win, it’ll go a long way to putting her in the governor’s office.

Donate as soon as you can, before the end-of-year deadline just three days away. EMILY’s List has $40,000 in matching funds, but it’s up to you to unlock the match!

Braddock is on its way to recovering, but I didn’t do it alone. It’s been a real team effort. Allyson can’t beat Tom Corbett on her own either. She needs our help. Let’s give her all we can today.

Sincerely,

Mayor John Fetterman
