Amazing catch from Brittany Foster:

Screen shot of Corbett website

Following the announcement of Farm Families for Corbett-Cawley, the governor’s campaign is using photos of Canadian farmers to promote the new coalition.

Agriculture is the #1 industry in the state of Pennsylvania, but the farmers seen on Corbett’s website aren’t even American. The front page of the site shows the Farm Families announcement and is accompanied by Stock photos of happy farmers from just north of the border.

The photographer is someone named Vicki from Living Images Photography based in Alberta, Canada.

One plausible reason to use stock photos might be to fake support from voter demographics who don’t actually support your candidacy – non-white voters in Corbett’s case. But Team Corbett still picked the stock photos with all white people!
