We’ve received word from knowledgeable parties within APSCUF (the Association of Pennsylvania State College and University Faculty) that the Senate Education Committee hearing scheduled for April 8th, which would be devoted mostly to the issue of West Chester University’s secession from the PASSHE system, has been postponed.

There’s no way of knowing at this moment whether this is due to the political pressure mobilized by many across Pennsylvania, most notably the writers at Raging Chicken Press, who have completely framed this debate. For now, the hearing is postponed, and we will let you know if any further announcements are made.
