Over here at Keystone Politics we are always trying to make things better. We have launched our revamped website, but our still making improvements. You will see visual changes and added features in the next few days and weeks, dependent upon your thoughts and feedback.
There are several factors that came into play in the software changes we have implemented. First of all, our old system was prone to some problems, while the new system is more robust and able to expand with our growing needs. More importantly, we wanted to be able to give KP readers more of a voice in the KP community. The new site will not only give you a voice, but we will promote this voice to our vast readership.
Keystone Politics has grown so quickly that Greg Palmer (the founder of Keystone Politics) could not handle management of the site by himself. Faced with the possibility of either selling-out to heavily commercial interests or expanding community involvement in KP, Greg was more than willing to fight for the latter. In 2006, Greg and I entered into a business partnership to keep KP going and preserve our mission to maintain a strong community voice on the site.
We’ll report more on these transitions on this with classic media fanfare, but we are really more interested in continuing to provide the best political content in Pennsylvania. The Keystone Politics Crew are still the same dedicated members of the community, but with the improved communication tools of this site we can all work together.
In the coming days and weeks I’ll keep you updated on new features here at Keystone Politics and share with you a little bit about myself. If you want to start your own KP-Blog, all you need to do is sign up (or login if you already have a username) and you’ll be up and running instantly.
Cheers,
Rob Hopkins
KP Team Leader
