McCain Fails First Test

It has been rightly said that the first big test of judgement a Presidential nominee is put to, is the choosing of a running mate. Barack Obama selected Sen. Biden, a person with thorough knowledge of government, especially foreign policy. If Joe Biden were to succeed to the Presidency, the American people and foreign governments alike would know that the Executive Branch would not miss a beat and Biden’s competence would not be questioned. Pennsylvania Dems...

are now alone in the spotlight. The primary on April 22 could end this race and give us a nominee; or it could enable Hillary Clinton to continue her scorched earth, win at all costs campaign. Sen. Clinton couldn’t help John McCain more if she were his campaign manager. The words and actions of the Clinton campaign give the lie to her saying that she puts country and party ahead of personal ambition.  read more »


Obama's Eloquence

Hillary Clinton’s constant denigration of Barack Obama’s oratorial skills, is the centerpiece of what has become the most Nixonian campaign organization since, well…Richard Nixon. Hillary and Bill Clinton should be ashamed. The Clinton campaign for many of us, feels very much like a wet blanket, being thrown over our hopes and aspirations.

It seems to me that the ability to inspire people and bring them together for a common purpose, is the very essence of leadership. Barack Obama’s communication skills and vision are exactly what our troubled nation needs. Let us reject cynicism and division, in favor of hope and unity. Barck Obama offers us our best chance to get it right in a big way.
