DeWeese and his Republican advisors

How many more Republicans are House Democrats going to let DeWeese surround himself with to lead them down the primrose path the Democratic Caucus is following under his leadership?

Yesterday’s story in the Pittsburgh Tribune Review was shocking.
“DeWeese getting advice from longtime GOP adviser” http://www.pittsburghlive.com/x/pittsburghtrib/new…

Bill Green has probably worked against many current House Democrats. And, he certainly helped to keep them in the minority all those years.

It is also very interesting that Bill Chadwick has inserted an associate with a very strong anti-worker record onto DeWeese’s campaign. Her name is Mary Beth Vander Weele. She is a Chadwick associate. http://www.vanderweelegroup.com/maribeth.htm

The DeWeese campaign pays her through “Sagerity.” He paid her $5,951.81 on 5/8/08. This company shares the same address as the Vander Weele Group. 852 W Belle Plaine, Chicago, IL, 60613. In order to get the address you have to download the expenditures from the DOS.

The Vander Weele Group is very anti-labor and makes its money fighting some of the very policies House Democrats have worked years to put in place or are trying to enact.

The Vander Weele Group assists companies with outsourcing: http://www.vanderweelegroup.com/supply.htm

They also work on defending companies against workers comp cases: http://www.vanderweelegroup.com/investigative.htm#

Click on the workers compensation link…this language should be familiar to most House Democrats who have been reading anti-worker, Republican press releases:

“The Vander Weele GroupLLC offers a blend of document analysis, public record reviews, interviews, surveillance and strong report writing skills to develop worker compensation cases ready for litigation and/or presentation to state industrial commissions.”

Who is the Democratic Majority Leader surrounding himself with?

Bill Chadwick? A union buster through his work as a managing director of Vance Global. http://www.chadwickassociates.com/principals_wgc.h…
Look at the bottom of the 2nd page at this next link. Note the client they have that is preparing for a strike. Note the stuff about workers comp claims. http://www.gardaglobal.com/upload/garda_news/5102_…

Bill Green? A Republican consultant, who certainly doesn’t care at all about the newly won Democratic majority. In fact, he’s probably worked on campaigns to defeat many of the House Democrats.

Maribeth Vander Weele? Her firm assists companies with their outsourcing strategies and fights workers comp claims.

These are people that make money helping corporations bust unions, outsource jobs and fight workers’ comp cases. DeWeese, and by extension the House Democratic Caucus, is being guided by individuals who profit from fighting the pro-worker policies the House Democrats have championed for years.

Imagine Sam Smth hiring SEIU union organizers and James Carville to advise him how to run the Republican caucus and his campaigns. Incredible!
