Roll Call, Washington D.C.
“...He’s a Carney. Vincent Rongione is back for another run with Rep. Christopher Carney (D-Pa.). Rongione, who served as the Carney campaign’s finance director in 2006, has been hired as the freshman Congressman’s campaign manager.”
The blurb is a pretty significant under-sell on the hire. but what does Washington know about Pa anyway?
People who watched the 2006 campaign closely know that with the addition of Vincent Rongione Carney significantly bolsters his re-election campaign. Rongione was instrumental in the campaign raising $1.5 million+ last cycle. Prior to Rongione’s arrival the Carney camp had little money and was given little chance of taking advantage of Sherwood’s problems. After a surprisingly strong Q2 FEC filing the campaign was on track and off to the races.
Carney has had a very successful first term and this is another solid move for the freshman Congressman, especially when you consider that both Republicans have the ability to at least partially self-fund.

good move
It is another sign that the last election wasn’t a fluke. There are very good people doing excellent work, Rongione is one of them. This is the next generation of politics in PA — ready to move past the politics of old, help elect leaders of the future. Dems are winning because they have their fingers on the pulse of real America — middle class values, education, getting our economy on track and ending the nightmarish foreign policy of this administration. Rongione is a great example of how smart, talented young people are coming out to make things happen for leaders who are on the right track.
all candidates
chris is a nice young man. however his last campaign was bought and paid for by out of town union money. look at the lists. my favorite is the irish for carney group. he is more genuine than either of the republicans. he can not support the union bill supporting no or limited union elections. the two republicans are guys who dont understand the issueson trade. pride mobility does a lot of their buying offshore. chris does not understand the fact that the us is an old country an immigrants are wht is going to be our savior long term as long as they work and stay off the govermnent dole. none of the three can spell or understand section 421 itc cases.
