Senator John Kerry is rumored to be visiting the Lehigh Valley on Friday, just days after his wife, who will meet privately with community leaders in Easton today. Labor Council leader John Werkheiser announced that Kerry is expected to appear in the late afternoon or evening on Friday, though the Kerry campaign would not confirm that, except to say that Valley residents should expect to see both Edwards and Kerry several times in the next two months.
This after Teresa Heinz-Kerry was forced to back out of a scheduled appearance at the Lehigh Valley Labor picnic yesterday, and was replaced as keynote speaker by Bill George, president of the PA AFL-CIO.
