Yeah! Somebody finally figured out how to copy and paste onto the internet! Lawyers, throw down your books and join me online.
Pennsylvania’s consolidated laws will be posted on a publicly available Web site beginning today, making it the last state to do so.An internal committee of the state Senate, the Committee on Management and Operations, approved a resolution last month to put the consolidated statutes on the official Web site of the state legislature, www.legis.state.pa.us. A corresponding House committee had previously approved a similar resolution.
Until now, Pennsylvania has been the only state that did not maintain a public Web site giving people the ability to do their own legal research without purchasing legal textbooks or visiting a law library.

A good place to begin, but it's only a beginning
I’m glad to here that Pennsylvania will be putting its consolidated statutes on line. While its a good start, I must emphasize that it is only a start.
Pennsylvania really needs to get its unconsolidated statutes on line ASAP. It is ridiculous that almost half of the state’s statutory law is not available in an easily accessible written form, let alone an in an electronic form.
NO records makes it hard in appeals
For so long it has been a major argument of mine, that the Pennsylvania records (freedom og information/sunshine act), policy is a SHAM! How could you have and expect an appelate process for a pro se litigant who may even be in jail wronfully, to fight his or her claim if the records and law are NOT readily available.
This has made the process in the appelate courts in Pennsylvania bias. I am sure the electronic records/law will have grave consequences in PA, (this will give the citizens of PA more ability to fight as they wil be INFORMED on the law)
I predict we will see prosecutors, lawyers and judges that will face a harsh reality when they realize that people are more informed on the law being online and will go after them with great force.
This is HUGE in PA!
The real question is, why did it take so long?
