The list, published yesterday in L’Osservatore Romano, the Vatican newspaper, came as the Pope deplored the “decreasing sense of sin” in today’s “secularized world” and the falling numbers of Roman Catholics going to confession.
The new deadly sins include polluting, genetic engineering, being obscenely rich, drug dealing, abortion, pedophilia and causing social injustice.
I see.
Genetic engineering? Is it OK to genetically engineer plants? How about mice or rats? I like the sin “causing social injustice.” I kind of think the Catholic church might be guilty of that one. Just teasing. I’m always happy when the Catholic church updates.

It’s the 21st century. Both the Pope and the Catholic Church are irrelavant. By the way, I think they forgot to add child molestation to their updated list.

When the Vatican divests itself and gives all their billions to the poor, I’ll once gain become a believer. But not until then. I fear it’ll be a long wait….
