Bucks County chief operating officer and former Pennsylvania Emergency Management Chief David Sanko said Friday he is considering a GOP run for state auditor general.

‘‘Based on the volume and breadth of calls from across Pennsylvania and from Washington, it’s something I’m seriously consider-

ing,’‘ said Sanko, who has not run for public office before.

Sanko, who lives in Harrisburg, said he has always had a passion for public service. He also said, ‘‘There are some serious questions about spending practices in Harrisburg.’‘
