What do you all think of this “unity tour”? Will it make a difference in your vote or were you going to vote Democratic either way?
Barack Obama returns to Pennsylvania Thursday morning for an invitation-only “economic competitiveness summit” on the campus of Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh.Obama, the likely Democratic nominee, has been touring the country and trying to show working-class voters he not only gets how they are struggling but also has solutions to make things better.
The next day, Obama and Hillary Rodham Clinton will begin their “Unity Tour,” to help repair some of the rifts from the primary and get Clinton backers on board with Obama.

Obama and Clinton are
Obama and Clinton are relatively the same when it comes to policy initiatives, which contributed to nasty personal attacks in the primary – honestly, how else could they differentiate themselves from one another. While it will take some time to repair the wounds from a hard fought primary, I don’t believe it will be as significant to the race as some are predicting.
I would agree. Obama is
I would agree. Obama is tacking advantage of some downtime before the debates with McCain start. They really haven’t gotten into it with each other yet. I really don’t think this Unity Tour is necessary, but it can’t hurt and there is time to do it.
It’s important to get all
It’s important to get all the tax-addicts lined up at the trough.
What???
This statement is as clear as mud! What are you sayiing?
The statement is very
The statement is very clear. It is simply another comment from a talking head that is full of the same old criticism without a single constructive suggestion.
constructive suggestion:
constructive suggestion: Reduce budgets by one percent a year for ten years.
then, we’d be prosperous.
some would prefer more poverty.
Obama will be a big help
Obama will be a big help for everyone. He will raise taxes. That won’t be enough, so he’ll raise them again.
And again.
He’ll make Jimmy Carter look pretty good.
Gas will be six dollars a gallon, and he’ll tell us it’s for our own good.
Like most liberals, the Senator with the leftmost voting position in the Senate can’t stand to actually solve any problem that can be milked.
Milked? Hmmm....
McCain vs. Obama – at Turner’s farm! Moderator Bessie, anyone?
