Rendell Might Just Be Hillary's Biggest Fan

Gov. Ed Rendell leaned over to Hillary Clinton after an event in western Pennsylvania this week with a suggestion. Apologize to state Sen. Richard Kasunic for butchering his name moments earlier at a rally at Penn State University’s Fayette campus, he whispered.

She followed his advice. Kasunic smiled. Embarrassment averted.

Rendell, in the two weeks the presidential race has pushed its way into Pennsylvania, has played a hyperactive role in Clinton’s campaign, from shaping her schedule to showing up at nearly every event to guiding her through a gantlet of tricky Pennsylvania pronunciations.

‘‘There are some days when I am listening to him speak where I’m almost thinking that he is the candidate,’‘ said Muhlenberg College political science professor Christopher Borick. ‘‘It seems personal. And I guess in some ways it is. This is his state, and he has staked his credibility on delivering it.’‘

Hillary is toast and Rendell knows it but can’t back out of his public endorsement some time ago.

When Gov. Rendell

When Gov. Rendell encouraged people to vote for Hillary because “Obama is for nuclear power”, I immediately thought a lot more of Obama.
This energy shortage, and all the phony solutions like windmills and bio-fuels, is killing us.
We need more clean electricity at lower prices, and the only way to get it is nuclear.
I’m glad Gov. Rendell told us who’d help the most with lower energy costs. Obama!

Thanks Bill

Bill A,

Thanks for your comments here.

The Mushroom

Aside from the Exelon employee above...

Rendell would wear a dress (and a corset) to Hillary events if she asked. He really wants…scratch that, NEEDS her to win so he can escape the black hole that is Harrisburg and land a cabinet position in her administration. Now when I say Harrisburg, I mean the Legislature: a wretched hive of scum and villainy.

PS: Nuclear power is dirty. Call your congressman and senators and tell them you want solar. Look at what Germany did. PBS ran a great show on it last weekend.

Nuclear power is the

Nuclear power is the cleanest, cheapest, most reliable power that can be produced.
All the nuclear waste ever produced by France is just stored in a well-guarded room.
All the nuclear waste ever produced would cover one football field 8 or 10 feet deep, and much of that could be reprocessed.
The coal industry has well-paid hired guns (environmentalists) convincing the gullible that this is far more dangerous than it actually is.
Nuclear is a lot better than a 1000megawatt coal plant burning a railcar of coal every ten or fifteen minutes, and far better than windmills that chop up birds and don’t run 60% of the time. (Wind’s not blowing at all, now.)

Gov. Rendell, Rep. Murtha, Mayor Nutter - awesome!

I’m a Hillary fan too – THANK YOU for supporting her!

Establismant Candidate vs. Outsider

In PA, Hillary is the establishment candidate. She has the endorsement of Rendell, Nutter, Rooney and many of the others PA apparatchik. The machine that brought us the Pay Raise debacle, Bonusgate, the PHEAA scandal, the gambling morass, etc. The machine that fought any open government initatives tooth and nail. In PA and Washington, we need openness and clean government, not more of what we see from the PA machine.

.

Rendell

is the guy that has had 1 billion in no-bid contracts as the governor, right? And Hillary has had 2.5 billion in earmarks, many which were no-bid contracts…so this appears to be a match made in heaven. Certainly we want these two to control the federal government expenditures the next 8 years, right? Imagine the cash that will flow to their favored contributors. Just what we need, right?

Can you imagine if your church preached this

We are a congregation which is Unashamedly White and Unapologetically Christian… Our roots in the White religious experience and tradition are deep, lasting and permanent. We are a European people, and remain “true to our native land,” the mother continent, the cradle of civilization. God has superintended our pilgrimage through the days of colonization, the days of plague, and the long night of racism. It is God who gives us the strength and courage to continuously address injustice as a people, and as a congregation. We constantly affirm our trust in God through cultural expression of a White worship service and ministries which address the White Community.

I give up

I give up. It could have been preached by Hagee, Parsley, Roberts, Robertson, or any of the other right wing bible bangers who think the bible is a reference book and the Flintstones is a documentary.

Believers

If any politicain truly believed in God, they would perhaps be less apt to lie, cheat and steal. Truth is, their faith to them is all a matter of convenience.

God

What does believing in God have to do with anything? Have you ever seen a God come down and correct a wrong decision in a court of law? Have you ever seen a God rehire a person fired without just cause? You don’t need a God to do the right thing and if anything this idea of invisible friends has really muddied this election up. We are fighting a war overseas over whos invisible friend is more powerful. What really sickens me is politicians getting up on their podium asking the creator of the universe to change his “perfect plan” and alter the laws of nature to suit the petitioner an admitted sinner. Go figure.

Reply to Greg Palmer

I’m responding to Greg Palmer’s statement about Gov. Rendell – “This is his state, and he has staked his credibility on delivering it.”

Jeb Bush promised to deliver Florida to his brother, and we all know how well that turned out. We all need a break from career politicians who do not have our best interests in their minds or hearts. Please listen to Obama and you will realize he is the only one who will work tirelessly for the American PEOPLE, not Wall Street!
