Ah… the Rendell for VP articles. Seems like once a month we are good to get one.
Rendell didn’t make the Newsweek cut. But he’s frequently been mentioned as a possible vice-presidential candidate. That’s despite repeated disavowals and claims that he’ll wait until his second term expires in 2010 before considering even a Cabinet post.A host of factors, including geography, professional qualifications, personal compatibility, ideology and political skill play a role in the vice-presidential selection process, said G. Terry Madonna, a political scientist and pollster at Franklin & Marshall College in Lancaster.
And Rendell and Richardson score points in each category.
Besides sharing a similar political and ideological profile — Rendell and Richardson are four-square Democrats who have forged expertise in energy and health care issues — both men also boast formidable resumes.

You know the 2008 race is starting...
As soon as these rumors start it’s a great sign that the 2008 race has begun.
For mercey's sake, NO
I mislike the suggestion that Governor Rendell might be chosen as the vice presidential candidate of the Democratic party because of two, or three depending upon how you enumerate hyphenated words, words whereto I have a profound aversion: Governor Baker-Knoll.
Aaieeeeee!
You just sent a shiver down my spine.
However, we must face the likelihood that even if Rendell is not chosen as Hillary’s running mate, he will likely be given a post in her cabinet.
So, if Baker-Knoll becomes governor, will she make her dog Lt. Gov?
Few governors have shafted
Few governors have shafted their state as proficiently as Mr. Rendell has shafted Pennsylvania. From gambling to stadiums to useless convention centers, Mr. Rendell has invariably sided with special interests against the public welfare.
That makes him better qualified than anyone to be the Democratic candidate for Vice President. Or, President.
His many friends who’ve become wealthier than ever because of his policies are drooling at the thought of being able to bleed fifty states instead of just one.
Deja Vue VP 68
This remind me of an earlier Vice president who was a governor of a mid Atlantic state. Eventually he was indicted for things he did while he was governor and had to resign.
Remember Spiro Agnew?
Yikes! Kathefrine Baker-Knoll for governor
There are innumerable events going on in our dysfunctional government that disgust me. However, nothing even comes close to the fear and disgust that arise when I realize that Katherine Baker-Knoll could become governor. She is about as qualified as her dog for the governorship!
Few people understand the
Few people understand the true nature of Katherine Baker Knoll. If you check the essay section of catholicfundamentalism.com you will see the essay on Catherine Baker Knoll reveals her to have an underlying importance far above what is generally perceived.
