Unity is the Key in 2008: As I’ve been meeting with people since the primary election, I can tell that Democratic voters in the 5th district are unifying behind our campaign and identifying with our message. “I want to thank all the Democratic voters who came out and voted in the 5th district yesterday. I congratulate Bill Cahir and Rick Vilello for the positive campaigns they ran. As candidates, we ran campaigns that showed respect to each other and to the voters in the 5th district.

I also want to congratulate the winner of the Republican primary Glenn Thompson. Mr. Thompson stayed on course with his message throughout his campaign and I look forward to our competition in the November general election.  read more »


PA District 5: 8 Candidates...And Counting!

This morning comes the announcement that two more Republicans have cast their hats into the ring for the 5th District seat.

These waters are getting a bit more than simply murky!

New bid #1 for the day comes from former College Township councilman Daniel Klees. He currently works for Penn State’s Applied Research Lab. He’s “exploring all his options.” What ever that means???

New bid #2 comes from Union Township resident, and recent Penn State grad: Craig Lucas. According to the CDT, he likes Fred Thompson for President, and is no fan of either Shaner or Walker:  read more »
