Will tonight make a difference?

Will tonight make a difference? This will be debate 21. I guess the real point of tonight is to let them go at it over bitter. I hope they give enough answer and rebuttal time and I hope that Barack articulates his point clearly on rebuttal. Because you know he will get the question, Clinton will try to not address his answer and then he will have to CLARIFY. I really don’t think it will make that much difference in the end. The people who are bitter over Obama’s “bitter” comments weren’t going to vote for him anyways. Obama supporters won’t be so easily swayed. It will be interesting to see the exit polls though, they better have the bitter question on there!!!


The Democratic Self-Immolation

The blood-letting spectacle which the Democratic primary battle has become has to be making the GOP squeal with delight. Hey, no one needs to “swift boat” these two candidates; they’ll do it to themselves!

Every day, when the next news cycle resets, we are witness to yet another ludicrous story about some real or perceived “mistake” that one side or the other has made…and it feeds the maw of the 24 hour news networks. Most of it is just stupid, but that hardly matters. Over time (and that time is well past) the effect is to make both candidates appear to be weasels.  read more »


Clinton's and Obama's Senate Records

The Obama campaign gives Sen. Obama credit for every bill he introduced or signed on as a co-sponsor, whether or not they became law.

In her time in the Senate, Hillary has sponsored 21 bills that have become law including:

— a bill that extended the availability of unemployment assistance.

— a bill which established a program to assist family caregivers.

— a bill that provided benefits to public safety officers who were killed or injured during the 9/11 terrorist attacks.

But Hillary’s accomplishments in the Senate are not limited to bill sponsorships. Among her many other legislative accomplishments:

— Hillary worked with Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-SC) to expand access to health care for the National Guard and Reserve.  read more »
